Master of Warthog Husbandry Arrives

By williemctell

Gosh, my first real blog. I’m at a loss for words. Don’t worry, that’s probably better for the reading public. Watch this space for annoying, puerile content.

    Hi, this is a comment.
To delete a comment, just log in, and view the posts’ comments, there you will have the option to edit or delete them.

So I can delete any comments I want? Wow.

    Hey you!
Good to see you over here.

You can do better than just deleting them. You can edit them.

So, this leaves the hilariously egalitarian possibility that you could change this comment to say whatever you feel like and it will still look to the outside world like I wrote it.

Not only that but you now have the IP address of the machine that was used to send this comment (unless of course I’m spoofing or am using a proxy).

Guess how people use this power? (Everybody ? WMcT)

Some people use it to fix typos.

Some people don’t use it at all.

Some people use it abusively. (I’d never do that. WMcT)

    WHAT A SURPRISE!!!!

I found you and I didn’t even know you were here. Why didn’t you spam me with your link?

I have bookmarked you and I will be back to read the whole thing.

As far as I know, the Soviet Union doesn’t still have encyclopedias that change every time that Stalin changes his mind. (Well, wikipedia is sort of like that , but it’s not really the same thing.)

But since you can change messages, you can be just like Stalin, though not to the extent that you can send people who irritate you to gulags or order their execution with a snap of your fingers or a lift of your eyebrow.

    Or can you?

    Sure I can. NK

now that – the editing others’ comments thing – raises some interesting possibilities

also could allow people to comment with impunity as they could claim it weren’t them, couldn’t it? Unless each edit is logged, I suppose.
